A hardy perennial herb with hollow stems, yellow flowers, and feathery leaves, Fennel is commonly considered an indigenous herb to the Mediterranean shores even though it has become a naturalized herb elsewhere (especially in the areas that were colonized by the Ancient Romans) and can be found growing wild in many parts of the world, particularly in dry soils near the sea coast or on the river banks.
Fennel is a highly aromatic and flavorful herb that enjoys being used in medicines and culinary dishes (it even boasts of being one of the primary ingredients in the distilled, highly alcoholic beverage known as Absinthe), even going so far as to be used as a flavoring component in some natural toothpastes. Fennel bulb, foliage, and seeds are used in many culinary dishes of the world; its bulb is a crisp and hardy root vegetable suitable to be sauteed, braised, grilled, or just eaten raw while its fresh or dried leaves are often employed in many dishes (such as fish, egg, et cetera).
Fennel Essential Oil is perfect to boost your courage, resolve and strength in the face of adversity while fighting obesity (it even possesses a diuretic effect that helps to disperse cellulite), clearing oily skin, cleanses and tones your skin, fights wrinkles as well as helping a wide array of digestive problems.

You can add 2 drops of Roman Chamomile Essential Oil, a drop of Fennel Essential Oil, a drop of Melissa Essential Oil, and 4 ounces of Pure Sweet Almond Oil for a soothing colic tummy rub oil that works for any digestive upsets.
Blend together 15 drops of Melissa Essential Oil, 15 drops of Fennel Essential Oil, 10 drops of Cinnamon Leaf Essential Oil, 10 drops of German Chamomile Essential Oil, 20 drops of Lavender Essential Oil, and about 3 ounces of Pure Water in a spray bottle for a stress relief air mist.
Caution: Always dilute this essential oil since it is powerful by itself and should not be used in large doses due to its possibility of having a narcotic effect. Do not use this oil if you are pregnant, nursing, or prone to epileptic fits and always consult with a medical professional before using. Keep this and other essential oils out of the reach of children and pets.
